North Texas mustangs understand the importance of giving back to the community. When you give back you are able to better the lives of the people around you. With your support, we can continue to build on our intentional community of care to ensure a strong foundation for a bright future for multiple children.

FIRE VICTIMS DONATION DRIVE

The North Texas Mustangs organization was able to donate a total of $3,940 along with clothes, shoes, and toys for a family who was the victim of a massive apartment fire. This fire was caused by the Texas Winter Storm that happened in February 2021. Both boys were able to register for spring 7on7 and fall tackle football, all thanks to your generous donations!

NTX MUSTANGS AWARD BANQUET

Each year, the NTX Mustangs host an award banquet to honor student-athletes, coaches, and volunteers. research indicates recognition for effort and success improves motivation and encourages participation. Recognizing student-athletes for qualities like effort, improvement, and cooperation as well, can increase self-confidence, offer a sense of accomplishment, and generate respect in a peer group. Having such a sense of accomplishment spurs improvement. Your contribution will greatly benefit our organization and give us the financial support we need to continue to provide this annual award banquet for such deserving individuals.

Tackle Participation Camp

From 2015-2019 North Texas Mustangs offered a FREE annual “Tackle Participation” Summer camp. This summer camp tackles the need for our youth to participate and be active. This camp adds engaging activities to the typical summer football camp experience for youth ages 5 to 18. Teaching character through sports is important for the successful development of young people in our community. Active learning complements cognitive skills and gives students increasing amounts of responsibility, and enhances their level of concentration and participation. Our summer camp is all about stressing the importance of sports. We know firsthand that sports are a powerful tool for education and inclusion.

Girl Empowerment Program

In 2020 and 2021 NTX Mustangs offered a “FREE” fun girls club program to girls ages 4-12 in the community! We wanted to develop a fun, emotionally, and physically safe environment for young girls to be themselves. We want to ignite this hope and belief inside them that they fully understand their potential. A girl’s belief in her ability to succeed is very important! We believe once a girl realizes she can do it, she becomes very powerful.

NTX Mustangs created the angel sponsor program to fill the unmet need of underprivileged student-athletes who want to pursue their own personal goals but are hindered by financial circumstances.
